It Still needs a little bit at 4° edition of The Bonton tuna festival: four days, from 25 to 28 june 2009, dedicate at tuna, at the old tuna fishing towers, at the traditional cooking of Trapani, and so on..
2009 will be a special edition, an international appointment, with the presence of the journalist “foodnomad” also called Chef Kumalè; signature of quality in the world of international food.
Bridge between the province of Trapani and the Mediterranean sea; in this year Bonton give hospitality also to the cuisine that was born in the other part of the sea: The Catalan chef Oriol Blanes, didactic coordinator of the Gastronomic room of Empordà will be at Bonton to show us the best dishes of the catalan cooking.
But there is more about it! now Bonton is included in the international conservatory of mediterranean cooking, along with the ones that defend the tradition of mediterranean cooking, like tuna, the product of the tuna fishing tower, the oil, the wine and the other product of Trapani
province you will find in Bonton.
From 25 to 28 june, four days of parties are waiting for you, with moment of live cooking, wine tasting, food tasting, meeting, exhibition display stands, meeting and a lots of music!. The star of festival is the Tuna fishing tower of Bonagia, where cooker, jounalist and artists are going to tell the mediterranean cooking and culture.
But the coastline of Trapani province is associated with the tradition of tuna fishing towers and “tonnaroti” (workers of tuna fishing tower); in this year Bonton “ In the wake of tuna” is also in Favignana, Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo, for a moment of meeting and party concerns the all “historic town of tuna fishing towers”
